Introducing Mr. Jack Skellington

I had a blast with this Jack canvas. My friend at work is a HUUUUGE fan of the Nightmare Before Christmas so she commissioned me for a 12x12 canvas. Enjoy Nicole!!

New Canvases

Sorry to be MIA.... my Mom broke her leg and Mason started up baseball again. Back to the grind, right? We got through Mason's bday parties great and he was soooo happy to have gone camping AND have a pizza party! He is so spoiled!

Baby invitations!!

A very sweet lady from Texas had me make 60 invitations for her little princess on the way, Reina. Reina means "queen" in Spanish so we decided to give her a little crown with some jewels!! Her color scheme was pink and green and this is the end result. Hope she enjoys them!! Thank you so much for having me be part of your special day!!

Mason is turning 7!!

Can you believe it? I can't!! He turns 7 on the 13th and we are off to San Diego for another camping trip. I have been busy painting and here are some more prints that will be in my etsy store soon. I plan on getting it up and running next week. I can't wait. I just spend all day painting now!!

Monster Madness

This all started innocently enough with my sons' bedding. I bought them matching Monster bedding since they share a room and I had to find some middle of the road theme that they both liked. I then accidentally went down the canvas aisle at Michael's and got a crazy idea to paint them some monsters for their walls to match. So I did 4 12x12 canvases in crazy colors and found the 2 monster bins at Target this week. And now, after everyone has been asking me to paint them other themed wall hangings, my best friend Beth has convinced me to open an etsy store, painting these silly things. She even came up with the name for me.... "Silly Strokes". How creative is she? So I will be posting some more info as my shop opens but I thought you might enjoy the story behind it first.
