OK.. so...Monday night.... 5 minutes before I was supposed to leave for work, Trafton brings a screaming Landon (covered with blood) and says he knocked out his teeth... Ya see.... he was riding his scooter and he fell. The handle bars of the scooter was at a 90 degree angle and he came right down on top of the handle! He split his gum all the way up and his left central tooth was facing backwards... gross. We took him to the ER to make sure there wasn't anymore damage to his palate or lip and we tried to move his tooth back. ER didn't do much other than make us wait 5 hours and tell us it was only his tooth and gum. No sutures or anything. So we called our dentist, who is an angel, and he walked me through pulling it forward and back into the "socket".... hardest thing I ever had to do because he had already been through soooo much and he looked at me like I was the devil incarnate! It went back in but within 30 minutes it had shifted back a bit. I took him in at 7 am and we tried holding it in position for an hour and we took an xray. He fractured his bone (the bony ridge) and the tooth wouldn't hold. :( We ended up extracting it rather than making him try to go through a surgery that may not save the tooth. And when we got the tooth back, it had a huge piece of bone on it. GROSS..... AND so so so SAD! Anyways, he was a trooper and it looks like his actual tooth took the brunt of it and his permanent tooth won't be affected.... hopefully. We may just have to cut his gum eventually to help it drop down but for now, he is still tearing around here like it never even happened. So for those who HAVEN'T seen our toothless wonder... here he is! And I won't show you the before picture .... it is REALLY nasty!
Anyways.... that is why I haven't been blogging much lately... dentist, doctors and surgeons OH MY! Mason is bitter that he lost a tooth before him... go figure, right? Sorry about the ugly pic... I can't find my camera charger for the LIFE of me!!

This was actually one of my Memory Makers Masters' entries... they didn't like me this year but I ended up loving my layouts I did for it. So this one is of Miss Adele.... Shawn's super cute daughter. The theme was built around her green and white polka dot high tops... so I tied in lots of green and white polka dots...LOL
Eat 'til you can't eat no mo'! Have a safe holiday weekend and remember to tell your loved ones how thankful you are!! I am thankful that I have so many great friends and family, Mason's eyes are 20/20 for the first time in his life, that Trafton has a great job, that I can stay at home with my boys and that my family all have their health!!
Thought I would share an old layout I did with Mason riding in the desert. He was doing donuts here and was about 4 years old at the time. What a crazy little guy, huh?
Occotillo Wells was a blast!! Great friends, great rides, great times! No injuries and lots of great memories made!! We all had a blast.... Mason did awesome in his new gear and Landon couldn't get enough of riding with his Daddy. Lots of friends came out for the day as well and we just didn't want to leave!! Thanks guys!

Kinda sad that the season has come to an end but now there is more time to go camping and do the crazy holiday thing! Things have been a bit hectic here. Landon had a bad accident and I have been with him for the last week. He had a tooth knocked out (well.... it had to be extracted) and he fractured his bony ridge in his mouth.... pictures to follow as soon as he lets me TAKE a picture. Poor baby. He lost a tooth before Mason did!! THAT didn't sit well!

Super cute bday set... I love cupcakes... and I added the chipboard heart. We used diamond glaze on the cherries and it was ADORABLE!!!

I am not known as a stamper.... although I love doing it when I get the chance.... so I thought I would be SEMI-safe at my friend Lissa's Stampin' Up party. Umm..... WRONG!! $150 later, I am the proud new owner of 3 stamp pads, 4 new tools, patterned paper (their Halloween line was too cute to resist...) and multiple stamps. I am such a sucker for it all!! Especially since that is where it all started for me. About 14 years was my first taste of stamping and creating and it evolved into scrapping. So thanks Lissa for making me spend my money... LOL... and for a fantastic time with the girls.... I need that more than I know sometimes!! Love ya!
As I got older.... and older... and older, politics actually started to matter to me. Especially once I had kids.... I am leaving this world to them someday and it matters to me. So while we have the wonderful freedom to vote, I implore others to do so too. I am SOOOOO not the one to get into a political debate or tell you what to vote... it is our right to vote whichever way you'd like.... the only thing I ask of my friends and family is to vote and let your voice be heard.
