The Aquarium of the Pacific

My son's kindergarten class had the good fortune to go here on a field trip last week. Here are some of my favorite pictures.... I will post more tomorrow!

EWWWWWW

We found one of these in our kitchen the other day and freaked out!! We had never seen anything like this before and thought it was some prehistoric insect. Lo and behold, it was a house centipede. We got it outside and hope to never see on of these again. It is supposedly a "good" insect but I can still do without it, none the less.

Ahhhhh.....retail therapy....

I spent a childless morning wandering the aisles of Tuesday Mornings and Target. YES! Then I went to sushi with my girlfriend Cheryl after shopping... it was WONDERFUL! I picked up this adorable grasshopper tray (which I used as a candle holder) and the cute table cloth that it is sitting on.

I just love summer!

I love these hands

We poured concrete in our patio this past weekend and put our handprints to mark the day. Here are the Haynes' hands. Trafton's on the left, mine (yes... I have huge hands), Mason's and then Landon's. They had fun doing it too!

Update: Day 5

My poor little white baby! It looks so bad still but the swelling is almost gone. It still doesn't bother him but he's getting sick of me fussing over him. Can you tell from this photo?!?!

Up for debate...

OK.... I made these cupcakes for the last baseball game and the boys made fun of them. I think they look like baseballs but they thought they were "fuzzy stripes" on a cupcake.! Now tell me, are they lacking imagination or am I just lacking skills....

Landon had a BAD accident today. Poor little man! He kept playing around on the laundry hamper and I kept telling him he was going to fall....well.... the next thing I know, he was getting launched off the basket and RIGHT into the corner of our coffee table. He was so tough though! He cried for a couple of minutes and has been a trooper ever since. It realllllly started swelling after he woke up from a nap but doesn't seem to bother him too much. I don't EVEN want to see what it looks like tomorrow.... keep him in your thoughts!!

...how much I love this man?
Not only did I have breakfast with all of my gorgeous men... I got a 1 1/2 hour pedicure, sushi for lunch, orange tulips and time alone!! We hit the 8 year mark on the 13th and I have never been happier!

Have you guys seen this movie? It is funny, adorable, sad, happy.... a total chick flick. I think my husband was even getting into it! You guys gotta rent it or buy it if you can!

There is something so wrong about loving a serial killer but I am truly obsessed with this series. It is so cleverly written and his sister looks DEAD (no pun intended) like my friend Megan. So check it out if you get a chance. You will love him!

GAME BALL

Guess who got it?

Mason was SOOOOO excited to accomplish this…. he was sleeping with his game ball from last season for the last 3 weeks. He has showed it off to just about everyone and took it in for his share day at school. This game he got 2 triples and a double. I am so proud of him! And you just gotta love the goggles…. Brennen (his buddy on the team) wears his sunglasses during the game to be “cool” like Mason.
