Lightning strikes!

OK.... so some of you have heard.... So I will tell you the whole story here. Within 24 hours of coming to Colorado.... Trafton, my husband, was struck by lightning. He went to return our trailer to our storage unit in downtown Castle Rock and and a bad lightning/thunder storm came up out of nowhere (I have learned that this happens often here). He was talking with the storage yard and they started to get into their trucks when Trafton heard a HUGE thunderclap right over his head. He said it sounded like a giant pair of cymbals crashing over his head. He had his keys in his right hand and he instantly got shocked and his arms stiffened up. Keys went flying and he felt like his hair was on fire. The guy that was with him looked like he saw a ghost. He said he had never seen anyone get struck by lightning in his life!! So Traf got the heck out of there and called me. I, of course, thought he was totally joking.... since he does that to me often.... but he said he was just struck. I told him to get home and was flippin' out in my mind!! When he got home, he had goosebumps for hours and had two burns on his right forearm. Mason told him that he smelled like a burnt waffle cone.... (which is pretty funny in hind sight). I checked his vitals and everything seemed alright except that he smelled burnt and he couldn't hear very well. So.... off he went to the hospital for some tests.... they pumped him full of fluid and ran some tests. All in all.... what he received was "lightning splash". Crazy stuff..... but God was watching out for him and he is fine. Makes us take these lightning storms A LOT more serious than we probably would have (being the dumb Californians that we are). :)
So there you have it.... Traf is 40% more likely to be struck by lightning again..... so if you come visit us... be sure you stand by me!! ;)

The pictures are amazing! I'm so glad is is okay. Why does that make him more likely to be hit again, though?
