New kitchen....

So it is way past time to put some color in our home. The basement is SUPER colorful but the upstairs is just kind of blah.... so I am trying to convince my honey to go BOLD!!!
I figure if I start out with ORANGE, Trafton will go for another... not so different.... bright color...
I am really loving a curry yellow... Trafton is not sold yet on it....
Our cabinets are honey colored though.....
Love this and that chandelier!!!
I would ADORE these cabinets... in my perfect world, of course.....
I have a feeling we will end up with a sage green.... these look JUST like our cabinets so it is probably the best choice.... but I sooooo want a crazy kitchen.....

What's your vote?

I likey these.....

These Pouffes are super cute and I wish I had lots of money to buy 20 of these.... but I don't. So just in case you are a wealthy friend of mine, (in which case, you guys are totally holding out on me) thought I would enable you to do a little colorful shopping. :) A girl could dream right?

Such happy little accents...

Meet a few giraffes.....

So Saturday was a wonderful 65 degrees out and sunny.... so we decided to head down to Colorado Springs to check out the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.... Glad we went this weekend since it is currently -15 degrees out.
This was taken in the giraffe care facility where you get a first hand look at how they care for these amazing creatures!!
This one was nice enough to pose with Mason and I....doesn't it look like it is smiling...or laughing? This was one of the many babies we got to see in the facility.... Landon was OK with the smaller version.... still didn't want to go near it though... .
Then after the care facility, you venture outside to feed them.... yes.... you heard me right.... FEED them....
I have never been this close to these beauties so excuse the millions of photos....In fact.... those of you who know me, know that giraffes are my favorite animals.... I was always the little girl at the zoo that would be holding out a leafy branch PRAYING that the big animal would come over to snag it out of my hands.... so understand that this was a pretty amazing experience for me. I love their lips.... they are so cute..... gooey if they get close.... but still cute....
This one is looking for more treats....
Can you tell that Landon DID NOT want to get close to these ginormous guys?
Landon said he was "freaked out" by the purple tongues.... don't blame him....
This is a funny sequence.... the giraffe spots a blond boy with glasses holding a treat...
Comes in for a closer sniff.....
Tests it out with his big ol' cute lip.... Then decides to trust that the boy is truly trying to feed him a yummy treat...
He is one happy camelopardalis (see... it was educational too).....
Here's Trafton feeding the big guy (for Landon) since he wanted no part in it.... Kinda like it was "good from far but far from good" type thing. Those biscuits must be reaaaaaaally tasty....
These animals are truly magnificent!! So fun seeing them this up close and personal....
So it was an extremely fun day with the boys. I will have to upload some more pics tonight.... too many fun things for one post....
Bye!!
